Our Charter Logistics Team will work very closely with you to designing your bespoke event.

The following is a sample itinerary detailing a typical day

Sample itinerary

0900 hrs: Arrival time at the Marina. You will be met by your Ondeck representative and welcomed onboard with a breakfast of bacon rolls, pastries, orange juice, tea & fresh coffee. You also have the option to ascend & have breakfast in the 170m Spinnaker Tower.

0945 hrs: Your skipper will give a comprehensive safety briefing taking approximately 30 minutes.

1015 hrs:
Time to cast off. The yacht will depart its berth and motor the short distance into The Solent, passing the narrow busy harbour entrance flanked by the working Naval Dockyard and historical forts of Southsea and Haslar. The sails are hoisted and the crew begin to help guests become familiar with sailing the yacht. Guests are welcome to get actively involved or, if they prefer, sit back relax, chat and enjoy the view.

Lunch:
Time to slow down and recharge those batteries. Lunch can be either a sumptuous 3 course buffet served onboard by your hostess, a hearty racing sandwich lunch if time is of the essence, a 2 course lunch served ashore in a number of select restaurants, or use of the Haven Events Centre at Cowes Yacht Haven.

Afternoon: After the morning’s sailing activities, guests will be more familiar with the yacht, and the skipper will progress to more advanced sail handling. Depending on your type of day, the afternoon can develop as follows:

Hospitality Days:
Guests can try their hand at helming and all the various jobs onboard. The skipper may set a small triangular course to test everyone’s new found knowledge. The day is yours so if you prefer to sit back and relax in the generous cockpit area, watching the world pass by from probably one of the most enjoyable vantage points imaginable, please be our guest.

Match Racing Days:
After lunch, it’s time to show how much you have learned as a group. The skippers will set 1 long course or 2 short courses for some fun match racing in The Solent. The skippers can make the racing friendly and competitive, keeping yachts close together for everyone’s enjoyment. If you only have 1 yacht? We will endeavour to match you against another out that day.

Afternoon Tea:
consisting of large Ondeck chocolate chip muffins, fresh coffee & tea & to be served during the course of the afternoon.

1730 hrs: It's back to Gunwharf Quays. You are welcome to share an après-sail drink and chat about the exciting events of the day – what a perfect way to end your event.. Guests are free to depart at their leisure.
