The Santa Cruz 37

 

Fast is Fun!! This new Tim Kernan design all carbon rocket is designed for fast and exciting sailing.  

 

She is fitted with a masthead asymmetric spinnaker set on a carbon retractable pole and is easily capable of speeds in the high teens and low twenties.  She has twin carbon wheels and is easily managed with a crew of 8 people.  The jibs are non overlapping and cockpit is laid out for ease of sail handling.

 

Instruments are by B&G and race sails are by North set on carbon mast and boom,  with an autopilot for longer cruising passages.  Down below she is fitted out to a high standard with a fridge and above and below deck pressurised showers for cooling off after a hectic days racing.  

 

Sail magazine accorded the SC37 ‘The Best Performance Boat Award’ for 2009.  This boat will reward the crew that race hard and fast.
