Little Britain Challenge Cup 2010 (Construction Sector)

The Little Britain Challenge Cup is the largest annual corporate yachting regatta in Europe. It now attracts over 230 entries exclusively within the construction industry and raises an incredible amount of money for various charities including the Jubilee and Cirdan Sailing Trusts.
The LBCC Regatta is based on a 5 race series in the Central Solent area. One race takes place on Thursday with two races on Friday and two on Saturday. The Royal Yacht Squadron organise the racing and set the courses, with starts on Squadron line. All yachts are berthed at Cowes for the regatta.
The Little Britain Challenge Cup is a fun event and although the racing is competitive, professional sailors are limited to two per boat for our 40 footers and three per boat for our 65s and will not be permitted to helm. Companies are welcome to enter in the racing or cruising classes. For those wishing to take it more gently, the cruising division do not use spinnakers, where as the racing class do and the competition can get heated!
Itinerary
The regatta is much about the social as it is the sailing. The itinerary for the 4 days, usually takes the form of; Thursday - Champagne Reception at the prestigious Royal Yacht Squadron & buffet supper, live music at Cowes Yacht Haven Friday – Buffet supper, live music and dancing at Cowes Yacht Haven Saturday – Gala dinner & charity auction followed by live music and dancing in Cowes Yacht Haven Sunday – Leisurely cruise back to Gunwharf Quays, Portsmouth.
Ondeck LBCC Package
At Ondeck Sailing, we can organise your campaign and yacht charter for you. We will provide you with a professional sailing staff to look after your guests and help provide tuition and guidance on the water, we brand your yacht, supply team shirts, organise lunches and administer your entry. The only requirement is that you pay for your entry and berthing direct to LBCC.
The Yachts
Beneteau 40.7 - £4995 +VAT (up to 10 guests)
Farr 65 - Racing in Class 0 - £ 9950 +VAT (up to 18 guests)
Includes:
• Exclusive charter of the yacht – Training Thursday, racing Fri & Sat and cruising back to home
port by 1pm on Sunday
• Skipper, 1st mate, and 2nd mate
• Max 14 sleeping on board (18 participating in the racing)

Excludes:
• Regatta entry and berthing costs (rules stat that the entrant arranges this)
All extras such as beers, wine and champagne can be arranged and will be charged as an extra after the event.
