| Why not join Ondeck for an introduction to motor
cruising. This course is for beginners, and gives you the boat handling
skills that you will need to get started. During the course you will learn how to carry out basic safety checks, and learn about the safety equipment on board, and how to use it. You will learn basic boat manoeuvres including starting and stopping, s turns and u turns, leaving and coming alongside, and securing to a buoy. You will also go through some theory covering who gives way to who, ropework, and awareness of other water users. Holders of the RYA Helmsman’s qualification can apply for an International Certificate of Competence (ICC). |
