This 2-day practical course is for the complete novice, or for someone who wants to try sailing for the first time to get a feel for the sport. It is a great introduction to sailing and seamanship, it will give you a basic knowledge of how to steer a yacht, hoisting sails, handling ropes and boat etiquette. You will even experience sailing at night.

These early stages of yachting can often be the most important and Ondeck will give you the right foundations to start properly. The RYA Start Yachting Course also counts towards your RYA Competent Crew Certificate quota, so you only have to complete a further 3 days or 2 weekends to achieve it.
