RYA Start Yachting Course
The RYA Start Yachting Course is a 2-day practical course is for the complete novice or for someone who wants to try sailing for the first time. The course is run from Gosport and is a great introduction to sailing and seamanship and will give you a basic knowledge of how to steer a yacht, hoist sails, handle ropes and boat etiquette. You may even experience sailing at night.
These early stages of learning to sail can often be the most important, and Ondeck will give you firm foundations upon which you can build your knowledge and experience.
The RYA Start Yachting Course also counts towards your RYA Competent Crew Certificate quota, so you only have to complete a further 3 days or 2 weekends to achieve it.
